Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kabuto Wakizashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Cardosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardosa has chosen Pennywise - Bro Hymn as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kabuto Wakizashi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix Cardosa!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardosa moves out of range of the body kick.
Cardosa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wakizashi but Wakizashi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cardosa avoids the body shot from Wakizashi.
Wakizashi scores with a nice body kick.
Cardosa shoots in looking for a takedown. Wakizashi tries to sprawl out of it but Cardosa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wakizashi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wakizashi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cardosa's sensitive parts.
Cardosa connects with a right hand. Wakizashi shakes it off.
Wakizashi throws a body punch but Cardosa moves out of range.

Wakizashi gets tackled into the cage by Cardosa. Cardosa maintains the clinch.
Wakizashi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cardosa's elbow.
Wakizashi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Cardosa misses with some punches.
Cardosa lands a hook that snaps the head of Wakizashi backwards.

Kabuto Wakizashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wakizashi misses with a kick to the body.
Wakizashi fakes the leg kick and cracks Cardosa in the body.
Cardosa misses with a straight right.
Cardosa fails with a takedown attempt.
Kabuto Wakizashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Cardosa.
Wakizashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cardosa moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wakizashi moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wakizashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cardosa moves away.
Cardosa throws a series of punches but Wakizashi moves out of range.
Wakizashi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cardosa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wakizashi's knee momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cardosa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wakizashi sprawls well. Wakizashi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cardosa gets slowly back to his feet.
Cardosa throws the left hand but Wakizashi avoids the punch easily.
Wakizashi digs a good hook to Cardosa's body.
Cardosa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wakizashi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wakizashi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cardosa checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Cardosa fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Cardosa on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Cardosa moves out of range of the body kick.
Wakizashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wakizashi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cardosa in his tracks.
Wakizashi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wakizashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cardosa moves away.
Wakizashi lands a leg kick that knocks Cardosa off balance momentarily.
Wakizashi is looking to wear down Cardosa with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wakizashi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Cardosa misses with an uppercut. Wakizashi saw that one coming.
Cardosa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wakizashi tries to avoid it but Cardosa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wakizashi to the ground. Wakizashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wakizashi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Wakizashi misses with a body kick.
Wakizashi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wakizashi throws a lazy head kick
and Wakizashi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cardosa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cardosa pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wakizashi - that will leave a mark!
Wakizashi throws out a loose jab but Cardosa uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kabuto Wakizashi dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cardosa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wakizashi thows a body shot but no joy.
Cardosa throws a lazy uppercut
and Wakizashi counters with a straight right hand.

Wakizashi throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Cardosa's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Wakizashi dives in looking to finish as Cardosa flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wakizashi's strikes! Wakizashi is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Cardosa's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Cardosa was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kabuto Wakizashi!

A very excited looking Kabuto Wakizashi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
