Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russell Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sierra Leone. Marley has chosen Bob Marley-One Love as his entrance music. Russell Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Marley! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Marley throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. A head kick misses from Marley. Marley throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.

Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice jab there from Marley. Marley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones closes the distance but Marley moves to the side and Marley counters with a head kick. Marley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Marley, right into the meat.
Jones wants to clinch up but Marley keeps it at a distance. Russell Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marley was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard. Jones is breathing heavily. Marley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jones manages to pass to side control. Marley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marley is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Marley tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jones manages to move to mount!
Marley tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control. Marley tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Marley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

It looks like Bob Marley has been cut. Marley is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marley manages to escape and get back to his feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marley can do anything to dispel that myth. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Marley controlling the position. Marley wants to improve his position but instead Jones has moved into half guard.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
