Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alvin Joiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joiner comes to the cage accompanied by Whats the Difference. Silva has chosen Human Sacrifice as his entrance music. Alvin Joiner is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva loads up on a big right hand but Joiner slips the punch.
Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
It looks like Alvin Joiner has been cut.

Silva throws a big shot that misses.
Joiner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Joiner slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Joiner stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Silva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Joiner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva.

Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Joiner.
Rich Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joiner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Silva throws a lazy right hand but Joiner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Joiner connects with a looping right hand.
Alvin Joiner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Joiner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sloppy strikes from Joiner. Those never looked like landing.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joiner.

Joiner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Joiner defends it nicely.

Joiner cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Joiner has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Silva to stand back up!
Silva throws the kick towards the body but Joiner avoids it.

Silva throws a push kick but Joiner slaps the foot to one side.
Joiner cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Silva looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Joiner finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joiner lands a jab to Silva's midsection.
Silva moves out of range of the body kick from Joiner.
Joiner misses the jab.
Joiner throws a shot to the body.
Silva tries to move into range but Joiner moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Joiner ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Silva out cold! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Alvin Joiner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
