Svetnela comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Angel of Death . Hanamoto has chosen Am I Evil? as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanamoto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Svetnela counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Svetnela.
Hanamoto tries for a takedown but Svetnela sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hanamoto moves out of range of the body kick.
Hanamoto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Svetnela defends it nicely.
Igor Svetnela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shuuji Hanamoto.

Hanamoto looks for a takedown but Svetnela sprawls well.
Svetnela cracks Hanamoto on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hanamoto falls backwards against the cage. Svetnela follows up with more strikes that drop Hanamoto to his knees. Svetnela keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hanamoto! This one is all over!
