Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Simon Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Mutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Sherry Monocle. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mutch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A combination from Mutch does no damage.
Mutch shoots in looking for a takedown but Morgan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mutch's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mutch looks to land a combination but Morgan avoids it well.
Morgan cracks Mutch with a good jab.
Mutch looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Morgan!
Morgan looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan tries to hold on but Mutch pushes him away.

Mutch wants to finish this one by submission but Morgan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mutch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mutch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Morgan defends it well.

Mutch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morgan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mutch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Morgan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mutch on the ground.
Mutch wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jordan Mutch wasn't active enough on the ground.
Morgan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Morgan thuds a left hand into Mutch's body.
Mutch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morgan.
Morgan avoids a punch combination nicely.
A combination from Mutch does no damage.
Simon Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan is looking to score with low kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mutch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morgan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Morgan throws a low kick but Mutch avoids it.

Mutch dives in and grabs Morgan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morgan pushes down on Mutch's head and hops out.

Morgan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Morgan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Morgan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mutch moves into the clinch.

Mutch wants a takedown.
Mutch keeps control of Morgan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Morgan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mutch.
Mutch is trying to drag Morgan to the mat but Morgan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Simon Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Mutch.

Morgan tries a body shot but Mutch blocks it.
Morgan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mutch has him pressed against the cage.

Morgan is pressed up against the cage. Mutch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Morgan down to the mat. Morgan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mutch takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Morgan tests Mutch's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Good leg kick by Morgan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

The fighters circle momentarily. Morgan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Morgan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mutch on the side of the head.

Morgan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mutch's head backwards.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Morgan here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Mutch turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mutch manages to end up in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morgan tries to land a front kick but Mutch steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sloppy strikes from Mutch. Those never looked like landing.
Morgan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mutch doesn't seem bothered though.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morgan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mutch momentarily.
