Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batts comes to the cage accompanied by Pro-pain - Make war (not love) . Perry has chosen Run For Cover as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Batts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Perry!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perry just misses with a punch to the body.
Perry keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Batts tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Perry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Perry thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Batts if he has to take too many more of those.
Batts lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Perry throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Batts feints and then cracks Perry's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perry down.
Perry lands a nice leg kick that just misses Batts's sensitive parts.

Batts has closed the distance and engaged Perry in a clinch.
Batts lands a left hand that snaps the head of Perry backwards.
Batts lands a body shot in the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Batts scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Batts is leaning against Perry and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Perry takes a knee right on the jaw!

Perry has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Batts uses from the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Perry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Batts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Batts's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Perry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Batts.

Batts tries to bum rush Perry with a series of wild strikes but Perry uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Batts lands a nice leg kick that just misses Perry's sensitive parts.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perry lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Batts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Batts throws a wild body kick that Perry sees coming a mile off.
Perry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batts.
Perry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Batts avoids it really well and circles away.
Billy Batts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Perry.
Perry throws a head kick that misses.

Batts keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Perry.
Batts misses with a straight left.
Lee Perry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Batts doesn't seem bothered though.
Batts tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Perry lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Batts gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Perry wants to free his trapped foot but Batts is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Batts is positioning himself well to prevent Perry advancing to mount.
Batts makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Batts.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Batts controls Perry momentarily but Perry frees himself.
Perry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Perry lands a couple of elbows.
Perry wants to control from the top but Batts keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Batts is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Batts has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Batts will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lee Perry seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Batts throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Perry stuns Batts with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Perry takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Good leg kick by Batts there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Perry pivots, looking for a leg kick but Batts is out of range and Perry settles back down.
A jab lands there for Perry.
Batts on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Perry. Perry obviously looking to wear him down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perry misses with a looping left.

Batts moves into the clinch.
Batts goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Batts pushes off an throws an elbow but Perry leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Perry makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Perry stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Batts landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Batts lands a good knee to the midsection. Perry won't want to take too many of those.

Batts lands a nice shot to the body.
Batts is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Perry is defending well for now.

Batts fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Perry.

Perry throws a lazy right hand but Batts sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perry lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Batts has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Batts and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Perry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Batts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Perry lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Perry's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Perry pushes Batts back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Perry is working for takedown but Batts is calmly controlling the position for now.
Perry is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Batts is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Batts will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Batts counters with a low kick, right behind Perry 's knee.
Perry takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Perry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Batts lands with a straight right. Perry didn't see that one coming.
Batts throws a leg kick but Perry sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Perry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Billy Batts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Perry.

Perry drops down looking for an ankle pick but Batts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Batts lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Batts dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perry. That did some damage!

Batts gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Perry.
Perry looks to land a combination but Batts avoids it well.
Batts slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Batts moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Batts's waist but Batts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side.
Batts goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Batts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Batts defending well as Perry loads up on a big left hand.
Perry walks into a stiff left hand from Batts.
Batts throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perry chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Batts can pounce on him.
Perry walks forward, straight into a front kick from Batts.
Perry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perry tries for a takedown but Batts circles away easily
enabling Batts to counter with a crisp jab.

Batts goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Perry managing to block the knees to the body from Batts.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Batts, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
