Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Quentin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jhari Colston!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quentin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Colston.
Quentin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Colston shoots for a double leg takedown but Quentin sprawls well. He's pushed Colston's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Colston shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quentin as he avoids it easily.
Sam Quentin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhari Colston.
Colston looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quentin is fending him off so far but Colston persists. Nope, Quentin circles away and we're back to standing.
Colston tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Quentin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Quentin throws a body punch but Colston moves out of range.
Colston throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Quentin forces Colston back against the cage and clinches.
Colston can't get the takedown.
Colston looking to stall.
Quentin lands with a right to the head.
Colston tries to break the clinch but Quentin is controlling the position.

Quentin gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Quentin working Colston over with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quentin scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Colston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Quentin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.


Colston is rocked!
Colston looks winded!
Quentin sitting in half guard here. He lands a big elbow that has hurt Colston! Oh, Colston is in big trouble! Quentin lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!
