Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vangelis Kokkalis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokida Matae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kokkalis comes to the cage accompanied by Promises - Nero ft. Skrillex. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokkalis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kokkalis lands a nice shot that snaps Matae's head back.
It looks like Yokida Matae has been cut.
Matae throws a head kick but Kokkalis moves out of range.
Matae tries to clinch up
and Kokkalis counters with a slapping leg kick.
Kokkalis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kokkalis.
Matae misses with a kick to the body.
Matae doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matae takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A slapping leg kick lands for Kokkalis.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kokkalis. Matae does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kokkalis looks to score with a jab to the body but Matae is just out of range.
Kokkalis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Kokkalis.
Kokkalis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matae avoids it really well and circles away.

Kokkalis lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Matae wants to clinch
and Kokkalis counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matae uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kokkalis.
Matae takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kokkalis fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kokkalis. Matae shrugs it off though.
Kokkalis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That has opened up Yokida Matae's cut even more.
Kokkalis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kokkalis thuds his right hand into Matae's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kokkalis throws a quick inside leg kick.
Matae avoids the head kick by Kokkalis.
Kokkalis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kokkalis.
A jab lands there for Kokkalis.

Matae throws the left hand but Kokkalis avoids the punch easily.
A head kick lands from Kokkalis that sends Matae to the canvas. Matae tries to scramble back to his feet but Kokkalis brings him back down into side control.
Matae is rocked!
The cut above Yokida Matae's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kokkalis lands a strong strike to the head of Matae. That's dazed him! Kokkalis looking to finish here. Matae is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Kokkalis lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vangelis Kokkalis!
