Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Barreda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barreda is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rockstar. Jesus Barreda is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Barreda!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barreda walks into a stiff left hand from Archer.
Barreda misses with a double jab.
Barreda lands with an overhand left.
Barreda lands a body shot.
Archer swings for the body but Barreda moves out of range.
Jesus Barreda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Archer walks into a jab.
Archer moves away from the strike by Barreda.
Barreda moves out of range of the leg kick from Archer.
Archer is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Archer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Barreda is trying to defend but Archer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Barreda manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Archer lands a nice hook to Barreda's body. Barreda takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Archer lands a leg kick that knocks Barreda off balance momentarily.
Barreda throws the left hand but Archer avoids the punch easily.
Barreda throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
