The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers wants to land a leg kick but Kane is out of range.
Kane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kane throws a push kick but Powers slaps the foot to one side.
Powers avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Powers.
Powers connects with a high kick.
It looks like Merrick Kane has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Powers connects with a nice looking jab.
Oooooh!!! Powers has knocked Kane down with a huge combo! Powers steps away and waves a wobbly Kane back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Kane is rocked!
Powers takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kane is still on wobbly legs! Can Powers finish him?
Powers misses with a low kick.
Kane seems to have recovered his senses.
A cross from Kane lands.
Powers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Powers drives through and clinches with Kane against the cage.
Powers is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kane is keeping busy.
Kane tries to land knees in the clinch but Powers avoids the damage to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers is trying to stall.
Powers fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kane tries a knee to the head but Powers blocks it.
Powers wants to get back to striking at distance but Kane won't allow it.
Powers wants to stall.
Powers doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Powers lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kane backwards.
Powers is trying to maintain a safe position but Kane gets an underhook and turns Powers into the cage.
Kane misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Powers.
Kane blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Kane fails to land.
Powers managing to block the knees to the body from Kane.
Powers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Powers fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Kane lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Powers has Kane pressed against the cage.
Kane tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Powers avoids it.
Powers wants to break free but Kane has control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Powers controlling the action here for a moment.
Kane tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Powers is trying to push Kane away but Kane has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kane connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Powers goes down! Kane jumps into full mount looking to finish!
It looks like Austin Powers has been cut.
Kane takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kane unloads with some shots from mount but Powers bucks and avoids them well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane trying to control but Powers is having none of it.
Kane controlling from mount.
Powers holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kane tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kane looking to control but Powers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kane with shots to the head and body - Powers looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kane loads up with a big shot that hurts Powers! He's pulled Kane in close but Kane has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Powers survive? More strikes from Kane and Powers is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
