Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jiri Ahokas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Spanket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahokas comes to the cage accompanied by Invincible Adelitas Way. Jiri Ahokas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahokas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spanket.

Spanket darts in and clinches Ahokas up against the cage.

Spanket wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ahokas has him pressed against the cage.
Ahokas tries to pull guard but Spanket holds him up against the cage and eventually Ahokas drops back down to his feet.
Ahokas creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ahokas misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Spanket.
Ahokas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Spanket fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Spanket connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ahokas's hands.
Spanket closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Ahokas tries to keep at a distance but Spanket has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ahokas had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Spanket is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ahokas Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Spanket's back instead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Ahokas counters with a good, hard body kick but Spanket shrugs it off.

Ahokas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Spanket tries to roll over but Ahokas keeps him under control.

Ahokas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ahokas postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Spanket looks a forlorn figure.
Ahokas is landing with some decent strikes but Spanket is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
