Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Maeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noriyuki Nayoui!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maeda tries to close the distance and clinch but Nayoui swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Maeda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maeda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maeda takes one to the side of the head.
Nayoui cracks Maeda with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Maeda falls to his knees and Nayoui doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noriyuki Nayoui!
