Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cosmos Weedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks has chosen HOME GROWN as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brooks looks to score with a jab to the body but Weedman is just out of range.
Weedman misses with the combination.
Weedman misses with an uppercut. Brooks saw that one coming.
Brooks darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Cosmos Weedman has been cut.
Weedman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brooks.
Weedman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brooks was well out of range. Poor timing from Weedman.
Weedman misses the shot to the body.
Brooks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Weedman is fending him off so far but Brooks persists. Nope, Weedman circles away and we're back to standing.
Brooks has a takedown stuffed.
Brooks throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Weedman did well to prevent Brooks getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brooks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Weedman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brooks.
Weedman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Weedman tries to get out of the position.
Brooks works his way into full mount!
Brooks prevents Weedman from getting the reversal.
Brooks is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Weedman has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Brooks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice elbow there by Brooks.
Brooks has control of Weedman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Weedman regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brooks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Weedman gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brooks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brooks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Brooks works his foot free and advances to mount.
Weedman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brooks on the ground.
Brooks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Brooks working for a guillotine from mount but Weedman is in no mood to give up.
Brooks is landing with some decent strikes but Weedman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cosmos Weedman's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cosmos Weedman's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Derrick Brooks decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
