Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Virgil Cid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jebidiah Tayber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tayber has chosen Terravita - Adult Robot Kung Fu as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tayber avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Cid looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cid displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tayber throws out the jab.

Cid fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tayber.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tayber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cid is fending him off so far but Tayber persists. Nope, Cid circles away and we're back to standing.

Cid lands with an uppercut that bounces Tayber off the cage and back into range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cid.

Tayber is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cid pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Cid throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Tayber takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cid throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Tayber misses the body punch
and Cid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tayber is still on wobbly legs! Can Cid finish him?
Cid is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Cid ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Tayber out cold! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Virgil Cid thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
