Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prime's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Power Core. Palmer has chosen Freddie Gibbs - National Anthem (Fuck The World) as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arnold Palmer!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prime is looking to land body kicks.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Prime - that will leave a mark!
Prime throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Optimus Prime seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prime swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Palmer moves into the clinch.
Palmer prevents a takedown attempt there.

Prime ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Prime no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Prime escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Palmer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Arnold Palmer.
Prime shoots in looking for a takedown. Palmer tries to sprawl out of it but Prime keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Palmer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Palmer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Prime has him pressed against the ropes.

Prime throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palmer's waist but Palmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prime off to one side.

Prime lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Palmer circles away quickly and effectively.

Prime lands a nice shot to the body.

Palmer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Prime shoots in looking for a takedown but Palmer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Prime's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Prime is looking to wear down Palmer with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Prime throws a push kick but Palmer slaps the foot to one side.
Palmer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Optimus Prime has been cut.
Prime gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Prime throws a jab but it's blocked by Palmer.
Prime misses with a left hand

and Palmer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Palmer effectively controlling the action here.
Prime jumps guard but Palmer stands there with Prime around his waist. Prime gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Palmer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Palmer is looking to break free of the clinch but Prime has double underhooks.
Prime blocks an elbow strike from Palmer.
Palmer blocks a body shot from Prime.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Palmer is trying to break the clinch but Prime is controlling him.

Palmer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Prime.
Palmer defending well as Prime loads up on a big left hand.
Prime throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Prime tried to score with a low kick but Palmer checks it.
Prime lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Prime throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Palmer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Palmer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Prime tries to land a front kick but Palmer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Prime closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Palmer's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Arnold Palmer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Palmer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Prime - the referee stops the clock and Palmer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Prime. Palmer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Palmer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Palmer has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Prime.
Palmer fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Prime is out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Prime is nestled in close to Palmer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Palmer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Palmer.
Prime wants to control from the top but Palmer keeps moving.
Prime throwing strikes but missing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
