And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nero shoots in but Laurent avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Laurent throws a hook but Nero avoids it easily.
Nero swings for the body but Laurent moves out of range.
Nero misses with a straight right.
Nero misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Laurent.
Nero fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice straight punches there by Laurent. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Laurent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Laurent lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nero has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nero and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Laurent is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Nero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Laurent circles away.
Frederic Laurent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raphael Nero.

Laurent fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nero manages to avoid it.
Nero takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nero takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laurent finds it's way round the side to connect with Nero's head.
Laurent tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laurent napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Laurent takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Nero is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Laurent doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nero.

Nero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Laurent is looking for a sweep. Nero is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Nero is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laurent is just riding it out for now. Nero eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Laurent won't allow Nero to pass to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raphael Nero dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nero blocks a head kick by Laurent.

The crowd cheers as Laurent lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nero doesn't seem phased though.

Nero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Laurent moves away.
Nero throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurent scores with a shot to the body.
Laurent is looking to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Laurent lands with an overhand left.

Laurent connects with a right hand. Nero shakes it off.
Nero fails with the takedown.
Laurent throws the left hand but Nero avoids the punch easily.
Laurent lands a lovely overhand right.
Laurent missing with a left hand there. Nero was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Laurent dips to his left and cracks Nero with an uppercut!
Nero is rocked!

Laurent cracks Nero with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Nero tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Laurent pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Nero is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frederic Laurent!
