Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Tosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Pox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tosh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stepping Razor. The crowd seem to be enjoying Pox's choice of entrance music: Same Song - Digital Underground. Big Pox acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Tosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Pox!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pox moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tosh looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A slapping leg kick lands for Pox.
Good leg kick by Pox there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pox misses with a body kick.
Tosh lands a leg kick that knocks Pox off balance momentarily.
A head kick misses from Pox.
A swing and a miss from Pox.
A head kick misses from Tosh.
Tosh wants to land a leg kick but Pox is out of range.
Pox blocks a low kick nicely.
Big Pox is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pox tries to land a leg kick but Tosh saw it coming and moves away.
Pox avoids a kick to the body.
Pox throws a chopping leg kick but Tosh manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tosh lands with an overhand left.

Pox throws a right and a left that Tosh avoids nicely.
Tosh jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Pox throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tosh throws a head kick but Pox moves out of range.
Pox goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tosh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pox has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tosh finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Tosh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pox.
Pox moves out of range of the body kick.
Pox tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tosh shoots in but no luck this time.
Tosh slips under a jab.
Tosh scores with a nice right hand.
Pox pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pox wants to clinch.
Tosh delivers a nice body kick.
Pox leaves Tosh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tosh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pox.
Pox throws a right hand that Tosh ducks under and follows up with a left that Tosh also avoids with ease.
Tosh bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tosh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Tosh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pox misses with an attempted mid kick.
Pox connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tosh misses with a low kick.
Pox scores with the left hand. Tosh knows he should have avoided that one.

Some bone on bone action there as Tosh checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Big Pox seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tosh throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Tosh throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tosh throws a leg kick but Pox sees it coming and moves out of range.
Tosh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tosh throws out a loose jab but Pox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pox misses with a hook.
Pox turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pox throws a quick inside leg kick.

Tosh checks the leg kick.
Pox looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pox lands a nice looking kick to the body. Tosh takes a step back to recover.
A jab from Pox misses.
Tosh dives in and grabs Pox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pox pushes down on Tosh's head and hops out.
Pox tries to clinch there but Tosh circles away.
Tosh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pox.
Tosh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Pox checks a low kick from Tosh.

Pox clinches up with Tosh and pushes him back against the cage.
Tosh misses with a hook from the clinch.
Tosh is trying to force a seperation but Pox has the dominant position.
Tosh wants to get back to striking at distance but Pox won't allow it.
Pox softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Pox scores a nice knee to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tosh has had enough of the clinch but Pox keeps him there for the moment.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Peter Tosh.
Tosh drops his hands momentarily and Pox takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pox misses with a hook. Tosh ducked under it nicely.
Tosh takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A clash of legs there as Tosh blocks the low kick.
Pox misses with a low kick.
Pox misses with a low kick as Tosh jumps back.
Pox finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pox fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tosh is out of range.

Tosh moves out of range as Pox throws a body kick.
Tosh is looking to slow Pox down with leg kicks.
Pox throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Pox takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tosh throws a looping overhand right but Pox ducks down to avoid it.
Tosh looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tosh scores with the left hand. Pox knows he should have avoided that one.
Tosh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pox has time to react.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tosh throws a body punch but Pox moves out of range.
Tosh tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Pox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Tosh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pox's guard.

Tosh thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tosh stops Pox from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pox seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tosh wants to control from the top but Pox keeps moving.
Pox looking for a sweep. Not yet Pox, not yet.
Tosh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pox wants to stand but Tosh is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tosh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pox controls Tosh momentarily but Tosh frees himself.

Tosh thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Tosh lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Pox wants to stand but Tosh is controlling the position.
Tosh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tosh pushes down on Pox's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pox keeps working.
Peter Tosh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Tosh is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Pox tries to kick Tosh off but Tosh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tosh throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tosh not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Tosh is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pox still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pox has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Tosh manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pox's best efforts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tosh actively working from the bottom here.
Pox seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Pox tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Tosh wants to improve his position but Pox is controlling well.
It looks like Pox is going to stand back up.
Big Pox is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Pox is just content to waste time from the top position. Tosh takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Tosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pox wants to stand but Tosh is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pox avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tosh keeping moving, preventing Pox from controlling successfully.
Pox must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tosh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pox is one step ahead there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Tosh showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Pox has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
