Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chase Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Flight!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flight moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rollins waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Flight.
Rollins connects with a good right hand that stumbles Flight. Flight circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rollins misses the jab.
Flight is looking to clinch.
Flight on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Flight misses the shot to the body.
Rollins scores with a jab to the head.
Rollins fails with a takedown attempt.
Flight tries to clinch but Rollins is having none of it.
Rollins attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Flight throws a leg kick which misses Rollins's front leg but catches the back leg as Rollins tries to avoid it.

Rollins is really struggling to control Flight but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Flight pushes Rollins off looking to stand but Rollins dives back in and keeps control.
Flight keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Rollins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rollins is keen to just control but Flight is a slippery customer.

Chase Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rollins darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Flight tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rollins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Flight stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rollins.

Both fighters circling a little - Flight finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Flight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rollins takes a little break here. Flight wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Flight is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rollins asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Thomas Flight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Rollins lands a nice forearm strike.
Flight gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Rollins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rollins wants to control the pace but Flight is squirming around nicely.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
