The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perry scores with a nice right hand.
Victor Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perry sizes up Creed with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Perry lands an overhand right. Creed throws a head kick that misses so Perry counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Creed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perry is one step ahead there. Creed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Perry tries to free his leg and advance position but Creed is retaining full guard. Perry throwing strikes but missing. Perry loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Perry tries to free his leg and advance position but Creed is retaining full guard. Perry works over Creed with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Creed pulls Perry in to control the position. Perry postures up in Creed's guard and throws a big left but Creed blocks it. Perry slips nicely into half guard. Creed is staying active underneath Perry, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Creed trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry trying to control from half guard but Creed is working away. Perry throws a strike but Creed avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Creed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Perry in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Perry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Perry throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Creed holds on and takes a little breather. Perry working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Creed's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Creed is pulling down on Perry's head. It's preventing any offense from Perry, at least for the moment. Perry trying to control the position from guard on top but Creed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry throws an elbow that misses. Creed uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Perry's guard. Nice move by Creed! Perry looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Creed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perry lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Creed! Creed sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Creed is looking for a sweep. Perry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Perry thows a huge punch but Creed dodges it nicely.
Perry is stalling here. Creed is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Perry seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Creed has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Perry taking a bit of punishment here - Creed scoring with strikes. Perry struggling a bit here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perry is looking for a sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Perry wants to control but Creed postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Perry dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Creed lands with a nice body kick. Perry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Creed.
Creed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Creed is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Creed attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Creed keeps Perry at a distance using the push kick. Perry uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Creed has time to react. Creed tries to clinch but Perry is having none of it. Creed just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A solid leg kick lands there for Creed.
Perry missing with a left hand there. Creed was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Creed throws an off balance right hand
and Perry counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Perry missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Creed wants to control but Perry is keeping busy.
Creed is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Creed wants to get back to full guard but Perry has passed into side control. Perry throws a strike aimed at the side of Creed's head but Creed avoids it well. Creed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Creed sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Perry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Creed knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Perry working the ground and pound but Creed is defending the strikes. You can see the frustration on Creed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Creed managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Perry.
Creed prevents Perry from moving into mount. Perry working the body and head with strikes. Creed parries the strikes from Perry easily there. Perry is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Creed to escape.
Creed tries to bench press Perry off him but Perry keeps the position. Perry lands an elbow. Perry scoring with punches from side control. Creed tries to improve position but can't. Perry tries to advance to mount but Creed instead regains half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Creed blocking the ground and pound attempt from Perry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Perry thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lee Perry has got the better of the ground game so far. Creed blocking the ground and pound attempt from Perry. Perry is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Creed! Creed in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Creed holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Perry tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Perry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Creed is looking to escape. Perry with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Perry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Perry wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A jab from Perry does it's job there. Creed swings and misses with a shot to the body and Perry counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Perry not landing any meaningful shots this time. Perry not doing much here.
Perry is keen to just control but Creed is a slippery customer. Perry is looking for a kimura here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Perry with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Creed is trying to escape the mount.
