Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Surov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes to the cage accompanied by SMALL AXE. Surov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amphetamines kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexei Surov!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surov connects with a body shot that sends Stone's belly button to the back.
Stone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Crunch! Stone slams his shin into Surov's torso.
Stone catches Surov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stone avoids the body shot from Surov.
Ben Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone punishes Surov's body with a nice straight punch.
Stone misses with an uppercut.
Stone throws a hook but Surov blocks it.
Stone throws a body kick that misses.
Stone looks to land a right hand but Surov moved out of range.
Surov connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Surov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Surov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Surov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Stone rather than just go for the knockout.

Stone is looking for a sweep. Surov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alexei Surov was stalling too much, according to the referee.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
