Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Kravinoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sergei Kravinoff enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Stern!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Kravinoff!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stern throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kravinoff takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kravinoff finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Stern cracks Kravinoff with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kravinoff chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stern can pounce on him.
Stern misses the shot to the body.
Kravinoff cracks Stern with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kravinoff tries for a takedown but Stern sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kravinoff with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Stern tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kravinoff is looking to slow Stern down with leg kicks.

Stern takes a swing at Kravinoff's ribcage but misses.

A looping hook to the body misses from Stern. Kravinoff does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kravinoff sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Stern just misses with a punch to the body.
Stern throws a body punch but Kravinoff moves out of range.
Kravinoff moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jason Stern is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stern throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Good leg kick by Kravinoff there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kravinoff swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kravinoff pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stern fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kravinoff takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Stern moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kravinoff will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kravinoff tries to bum rush Stern with a series of wild strikes but Stern uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stern lands with an overhand left.

Stern throws a head kick but Kravinoff moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kravinoff, right into the meat.
Stern throws a sloppy head kick
and Kravinoff counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Stern is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Stern gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kravinoff.
Kravinoff blocks a head kick by Stern.
Kravinoff thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Stern if he has to take too many more of those.
A good leg kick by Kravinoff.
Kravinoff thuds his right hand into Stern's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Stern fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kravinoff lands a nice looking kick to the body. Stern takes a step back to recover.
Stern is breathing heavily.
Stern throws a shot to the body.
Kravinoff blocks a head kick by Stern.
Stern is looking to score with low kicks.

Stern stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kravinoff.
Kravinoff uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kravinoff, as that shot connected.
Jason Stern seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kravinoff uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stern.
Stern throws a body kick that misses
and Kravinoff counters with a body kick.
Stern tries to land a front kick but Kravinoff steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Stern tries to sprawl but Kravinoff drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kravinoff is working for a kimura but Stern is defending it quite comfortably.
Kravinoff is trying to control the action in half guard but Stern is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Stern moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kravinoff wants to control from the top but Stern keeps moving.
Stern seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kravinoff postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stern is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kravinoff, into his guard.

Kravinoff has his foot on Stern's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stern works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kravinoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kravinoff tries a head kick but it misses.
Stern slips under a jab from Kravinoff.
Kravinoff takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kravinoff cracks Stern with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Stern throws a body kick that misses.
Stern swings for the body but Kravinoff moves out of range.
Kravinoff throws a looping overhand right but Stern ducks down to avoid it.
Stern ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stern lands a right hook to the body.
Stern throws a lazy uppercut
and Kravinoff counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stern avoids the body shot from Kravinoff.
Stern connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stern is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Stern throws a body punch but Kravinoff moves out of range.

Kravinoff misses with a body shot
and Stern counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Stern is looking to wear down Kravinoff with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Stern pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kravinoff lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stern's sensitive parts.
Stern throws a head kick but Kravinoff moves out of range.
Stern throws a right and a left that Kravinoff avoids nicely.
A bone on bone clash there as Stern blocks the leg kick.

Kravinoff closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stern quickly recovers to half guard.

Kravinoff is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stern doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kravinoff.
Stern tries to roll over but Kravinoff keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kravinoff throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Stern is defending against the submission attempts here by Kravinoff.
Stern is refusing to be controlled, as Kravinoff sits in half guard.
Stern is trying to stand up here but Kravinoff is controlling him well.
Stern wants to control but Kravinoff is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stern keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kravinoff scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Kravinoff maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Stern could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kravinoff has cracked it and Stern is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kravinoff!
