Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Demetriou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio da Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Demetriou had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Nick Demetriou has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

da Costa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Demetriou is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. da Costa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Demetriou's back instead.
Will da Costa go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
da Costa working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Demetriou is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and da Costa has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Demetriou taps out!
