Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hisoka Misawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: IT WASNT ME. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jesus Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos connects with a good right hand that stumbles Misawa. Misawa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Misawa takes a swing at Santos's ribcage but misses.

Oh Misawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Misawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos tries to sprawl out of it but Misawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Misawa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Santos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Misawa has Santos in his guard.
Misawa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Santos is looking to stand up but Misawa won't let him.
Misawa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Santos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Santos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Misawa drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Misawa off! Misawa jumps back into Santos's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Misawa has hold of Santos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Santos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Misawa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Santos has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Misawa is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Misawa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
