Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Batman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Coonaments (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coonaments is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Voodo. The Batman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Batman.
Coonaments tries to score a power double leg takedown but Batman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Coonaments somewhat.
Coonaments fails to land the takedown.
Coonaments shoots for a takedown but Batman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The Batman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Coonaments.
Batman leaves Coonaments with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A jab from Batman does it's job there.
Batman lands a really nice looking cross but Coonaments seems unphased.
Coonaments fails with a takedown attempt.
Batman lands with an uppercut that bounces Coonaments off the cage and back into range.

Coonaments is rocked!

Coonaments doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Batman counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Coonaments is still on wobbly legs! Can Batman finish him?
Coonaments darts in looking for a takedown but Batman gets double underhooks and turns Coonaments into the cage.
Coonaments seems to have recovered his senses.
Batman wants to get back to striking at distance but Coonaments won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Batman is trying to force a seperation but Coonaments has the dominant position.

Batman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Batman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Coonaments doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Batman connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Kevin Coonaments has been cut.
Coonaments is trying desperately to land a takedown but Batman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Coonaments.
Coonaments shoots in looking for a takedown but Batman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coonaments's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Coonaments looks winded!
Coonaments takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice takedown defense from Batman. No joy for Coonaments on that attempt.
Batman lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Batman drops Coonaments with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Coonaments! Batman dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Batman!
The Batman retains his welterweight title!
In his post fight interview, The Batman started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Kevin Coonaments was interviewed post fight and said 'I want to thank everyone for believing in me. They were just better then me nothing more to it.'.
