Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacLain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Batman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLain comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Shane MacLain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Batman! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batman throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. MacLain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. MacLain tries to score with some ground and pound. Batman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Batman on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Batman is looking for a sweep. Batman avoids any damage from the ground and pound of MacLain. Batman prevents MacLain from improving position. MacLain wants to control but Batman is keeping him busy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. MacLain lands an elbow. Batman keeps MacLain under control for a moment. MacLain is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Batman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Batman is trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batman takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Batman is trying to improve his position. MacLain throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Batman taking punishment in the form of punches.
MacLain works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. MacLain looks up at the clock and then as Batman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, MacLain smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
MacLain working the head and body with strikes. MacLain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Batman, who protects the arm well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. MacLain throws a strike aimed at the side of Batman's head but Batman avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacLain sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Batman is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
MacLain scores with punches from side control. Batman can't do much from the bottom here. Batman is looking to regain half guard here but MacLain keeps moving and retains side control. MacLain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. MacLain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no MacLain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! MacLain lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Batman down.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Batman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but MacLain wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Batman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with MacLain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. MacLain postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Batman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Batman can do anything to dispel that myth. Batman tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Batman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. MacLain misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
MacLain throwing strikes but missing, from side control. MacLain is trying to get an arm triangle but Batman is defending well. Batman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, MacLain asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. MacLain working the ground and pound but Batman is defending the strikes. MacLain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. MacLain looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Batman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
MacLain tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Batman tries to buck MacLain off but MacLain is having none of it. MacLain tries for a kimura but Batman is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane MacLain dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Batman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Batman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and MacLain counters with a lovely straight right hand! MacLain shoots in but Batman avoids the takedown attempt easily. A cross from Batman lands. Batman with a jab. Shane MacLain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Batman throws the kick towards the body but MacLain avoids it. MacLain is looking to clinch. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Batman.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Batman lands a leg kick that knocks MacLain off balance momentarily. MacLain takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
MacLain darts in looking for a takedown but Batman gets double underhooks and turns MacLain into the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Batman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batman lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. MacLain misses with a body kick. MacLain moves out of range of the strikes. Batman leaves MacLain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane MacLain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Batman lands with an uppercut that bounces MacLain off the cage and back into range. Decent striking displayed by Batman there.
MacLain is rocked! Batman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Oh MacLain is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! MacLain leaves his chin hanging out and Batman seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! MacLain crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Batman! A very excited looking The Batman rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
