Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colt Hardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardin comes to the cage accompanied by Superbeast by Rob Zombie. Colt Hardin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Peter Shields's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Colt Hardin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Shields! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shields throws a right and a left that Hardin avoids nicely. Hardin throws the left hand but Shields avoids the punch easily. Hardin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hardin knocks Shields to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Shields is rocked!
It looks like Peter Shields has been cut. Shields tries to buck Hardin off but Hardin is having none of it. Shields gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hardin moves nicely into side control. Shields is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hardin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Shields is not content to let Hardin control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shields manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shields can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardin wants to control but Shields is keeping him busy. Shields wants to improve his position but Hardin is controlling well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hardin fails in his attempt to clinch. Shields is looking to clinch but Hardin is avoiding it.
Hardin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shields prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shields tries for a takedown but Hardin manages to get underhooks.
Hardin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hardin lands a body punch. Shields is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hardin pulls him back up using the underhooks. Shields pulls guard. Hardin trying to control the position from guard on top but Shields is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardin passes Shields's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Shields gets back to full guard.
Shields manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hardin manages to get himself to full guard.
Shields must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shields content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hardin has locked up a guillotine! Hardin's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Shields is holding on here and Hardin must be using up a lot of energy. Shields has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hardin gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
