Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Ripgut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jorda Splash!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripgut throws the kick towards the body but Splash avoids it.
Shane Ripgut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripgut connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ripgut throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Splash avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ripgut looks to clinch
and Splash connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ripgut swings widly with a right hand
and Splash counters with a stiff right hand.
Ripgut takes a swing at Splash's ribcage but misses.
Ripgut definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Ripgut throws a predictable looking body shot
and Splash counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Splash has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ripgut moves forwards but Splash connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ripgut looks to land a body kick but Splash moved away.
Ripgut throws a looping overhand right but Splash ducks down to avoid it.
Splash looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Splash blocks the leg kick.
A head kick misses from Ripgut.
Splash tries to score with a low kick but Ripgut moves his leg out of the way.

and Ripgut takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ripgut thows a body shot but no joy.
Ripgut looks for the body kick but Splash saw that one coming.
Splash fails with a takedown attempt.
Splash shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ripgut defends it nicely.
Shane Ripgut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorda Splash.
Ripgut attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ripgut tries a head kick but it misses.
Splash shoots in looking for a takedown but Ripgut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Splash's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ripgut throws out a powerful jab.
Splash shoots in for a takedown but Ripgut shows good takedown defense.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ripgut. Splash does a little dance to reset his feet.

Splash tests Ripgut's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ripgut misses with an uppercut. Splash saw that one coming.
Ripgut misses with a low kick.
Splash lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ripgut circles away quickly and effectively.
Splash swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Splash checks a leg kick.
Ripgut slaps away a takedown attempt from Splash, before circling back to the center of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Splash looks to land a left hand but Ripgut moved out of range nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ripgut with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Ripgut misses with a knee strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ripgut lands with a right to the head.
Splash tries to pull guard but Ripgut won't allow it.
A shot in the inside from Ripgut.
Ripgut misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Splash.
Splash is trying to break the clinch but Ripgut is controlling him.
Ripgut lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Ripgut working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Ripgut gets through Splash's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ripgut misses with a knee to the head.

Splash has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ripgut after a bit of a struggle.
Ripgut struggles to land a body shot inside as Splash controls his hands.
Ripgut can't find room to land a body shot as Splash controls the action.
Ripgut throws a punch but it's blocked by Splash.
Splash is trying to break the clinch but Ripgut is controlling him.
Ripgut pushes Splash back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Splash is trying to force a seperation but Ripgut has the dominant position.
Splash is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ripgut to keep the fight standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ripgut lands a nice knee to the body.
Stalling in the clinch from Splash.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shane Ripgut will probably get the nod.
That's time! Ripgut's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Splash takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Splash walks into a jab.
Splash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ripgut tries to avoid it but Splash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ripgut to the ground. Ripgut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ripgut feints with a jab and clips Splash right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Splash is sent crashing into the canvas and Ripgut leaps in for the kill! Splash tries to get to his feet but Ripgut is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Splash is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane Ripgut!
Our winner, Shane Ripgut, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
