Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Florentino Ernesto Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - False Pretense as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a hook.
Alvarez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Alvarez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Alvarez wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Alvarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jones is looking to stand up but Alvarez isn't so interested in that idea.
Alvarez works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jones wants to stand back up but Alvarez manages to pass into side control.

Alvarez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Alvarez takes a little break here. Jones wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Alvarez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jones is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Alvarez yanks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Alvarez.
