Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pete Palahnuik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palahnuik comes to the cage accompanied by Machine Civilization. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pete Palahnuik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ike Turner! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palahnuik lands with a kick to the ribs.
Palahnuik buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Palahnuik takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good standup being displayed there by Turner as he connects with a hook. Turner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Horrible takedown by Turner or perhaps it was just good defense by Palahnuik which made him look bad. Palahnuik misses with a leg kick. Palahnuik thows a left - swing and a miss! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Palahnuik. Palahnuik moves out of range as Turner strikes. Palahnuik wants to land a leg kick but Turner is out of range. Palahnuik lands with a nice body kick. Both fighters circling a little - Turner finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Palahnuik throws a body punch but Turner moves out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Palahnuik throws a leg kick but Turner sees it coming and checks it nicely.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Turner throws a head kick that half lands.
Pete Palahnuik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turner shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Palahnuik lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Palahnuik throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Turner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Turner misses with a few strikes there.
Palahnuik looks to land a right hand but Turner moved out of range. Turner tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Palahnuik is able to avoid easily. Turner attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Palahnuik misses with a looping left. Palahnuik is looking to land body kicks. Palahnuik wants to slow Turner down by chopping away at his legs. A good leg kick by Palahnuik. Palahnuik misses the shot to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Palahnuik pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Palahnuik cracks Turner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Palahnuik does a little dance to reset his feet. Turner misses with a head kick.
A big right from Turner misses. Turner takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Palahnuik darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Ike Turner has been cut. Turner misses with a hook. Palahnuik ducked under it nicely. Palahnuik throws a predictable looking body shot
and Turner counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Palahnuik manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Palahnuik keeping moving, preventing Turner from controlling successfully. Palahnuik pulls Turner in close to his closed guard and prevents Turner from doing any damage or advancing position. Turner looking to pass the guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner is still trying to improve position. Palahnuik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Turner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Turner throwing strikes from guard but Palahnuik blocks nicely.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner preventing the sweep. Turner wants to pass the guard but Palahnuik is keeping the position. Palahnuik is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Turner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palahnuik was well out of range. Poor timing from Turner. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A slapping leg kick lands for Palahnuik.
Palahnuik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Turner sees it coming and avoids it easily. Turner throws the kick towards the body but Palahnuik avoids it. Turner tries for a takedown but Palahnuik circles away easily and Turner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Palahnuik dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ike Turner's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Turner throws a front kick aimed at Palahnuik's knee but Palahnuik avoids it well. Nice straight punches there by Palahnuik. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Palahnuik. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Turner. A head kick misses from Turner. A slow jab from Turner misses its intended target. A decent looking body kick lands there for Palahnuik. Palahnuik connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Palahnuik pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palahnuik wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Palahnuik misses with a head kick.
Turner throws a right hand that Palahnuik ducks under and follows up with a left that Palahnuik also avoids with ease.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Palahnuik cracks Turner with a right hand to the side of the head. A nice combination there by Turner.

Turner throws a leg kick that misses. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Turner, right into the meat.
Palahnuik drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Palahnuik jabs Turner to the body, keeping him at a distance. Palahnuik tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Turner is able to avoid easily. Palahnuik misses with a low kick as Turner jumps back. Palahnuik takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Turner fakes the leg kick and cracks Palahnuik in the body. Palahnuik throws a body punch but Turner moves out of range. Turner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palahnuik's waist but Palahnuik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Turner off to one side. Good leg kick by Palahnuik there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Turner throws a jab but it's blocked by Palahnuik. Turner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Turner avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Palahnuik chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Palahnuik scores with a sloppy right hand. Turner should have avoided that one. Turner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Palahnuik to score with a decent uppercut. Palahnuik scores with a jab. Palahnuik throws a quick inside leg kick. Palahnuik throws a big shot that misses. Pete Palahnuik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Turner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pete Palahnuik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ike Turner. Palahnuik tests Turner's chin there with a solid looking shot. A punch combination from Turner misses.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Palahnuik throws a hook to the side of Turner's head but Turner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A looping hook to the body misses from Turner. Palahnuik does a little dance to reset his feet. Palahnuik pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Palahnuik throws a head kick that misses. A slapping leg kick lands for Palahnuik.
Palahnuik uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Turner. That kick from Palahnuik tenderised Turner's leg. Turner is trying to keep his angry face on. Palahnuik lands a glancing blow to the side of Turner's head. Turner throws a low kick but Palahnuik moves out of range easily. Palahnuik is looking to slow Turner down with leg kicks. Palahnuik swings away with a body shot that misses
and Turner counters with an inside leg kick. Turner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Palahnuik lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Palahnuik - just one landing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Palahnuik throws a shot from downtown. Turner moves away and avoids it. Palahnuik looks to score with a jab to the body but Turner is just out of range. Turner tries for a takedown but Palahnuik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Palahnuik lands with a thumping leg kick.
Palahnuik has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Turner is breathing heavily. Turner cracks the inside of Palahnuik's front leg. Palahnuik scores with a nice right hand.
A big right from Palahnuik misses. Palahnuik lands a leg kick that knocks Turner off balance momentarily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Turner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Good shot there by Palahnuik. Palahnuik stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Palahnuik dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ike Turner's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Palahnuik throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Turner moves forwards but Palahnuik connects with a nice, crisp jab. Palahnuik just misses with a punch to the body.

Turner's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Palahnuik on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Turner displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Turner avoids the head kick by Palahnuik.
Palahnuik dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Palahnuik is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Palahnuik slips under a jab from Turner. A thudding body kick lands there by Turner!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Turner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Turner wants to take a breather but Palahnuik manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Turner. Turner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palahnuik swivels though and keeps the full guard. Palahnuik avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ike Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner connects with a couple of short punches. Turner looking to sit in guard and control but Palahnuik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Palahnuik advances to half guard. Turner tries to roll over but Palahnuik keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Palahnuik passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turner! Palahnuik with the ground and pound from mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Palahnuik can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Turner is looking to escape. Turner tries to hold on but Palahnuik postures up. Turner is desperately trying to improve his position but Palahnuik has a good base and remains in mount. Palahnuik content just to control the position here. Palahnuik tries to control but Turner wriggling away.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Turner is desperately trying to improve his position but Palahnuik has a good base and remains in mount. Turner tries to lock up and control but Palahnuik gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Palahnuik lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ike Turner has got the better of the ground game so far. Turner is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palahnuik content just to control the position here. Palahnuik prevents Turner from getting the reversal. Turner has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Palahnuik's lack of action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turner punching from the bottom.

Pete Palahnuik is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Palahnuik slows the pace down in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pete Palahnuik. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Palahnuik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
