Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ian McSpeed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Frulani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frulani has chosen In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 by Coheed and Cambria as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ian McSpeed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Felipe Frulani! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frulani fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McSpeed to the ground. Frulani is now in McSpeed's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McSpeed controlling the position. Frulani loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Frulani throwing strikes from guard but McSpeed blocks nicely. McSpeed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McSpeed wants to get back to his feet but Frulani is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Frulani throwing strikes from guard but McSpeed blocks nicely. McSpeed manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Frulani is desperately trying to improve his position but McSpeed has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frulani bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! McSpeed keeping moving, preventing Frulani from controlling successfully. McSpeed on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McSpeed tries to get out of the position. McSpeed looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McSpeed throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Frulani wants to control from the top but McSpeed keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Felipe Frulani. McSpeed swings for the body but Frulani moves out of range.
McSpeed decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Frulani is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McSpeed stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Frulani is defended easily by McSpeed. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Frulani keeps the fight on the outside. Frulani shoots for a double leg takedown but McSpeed sprawls well. He's pushed Frulani's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. McSpeed tries to pull guard but Frulani holds him up against the cage and eventually McSpeed drops back down to his feet.
Frulani throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Frulani is working for takedown but McSpeed is calmly controlling the position for now. Ian McSpeed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Frulani.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frulani can't get the takedown.
McSpeed drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Frulani gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McSpeed is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Frulani prevents a takedown attempt there.
Frulani drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Frulani changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McSpeed fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Frulani displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McSpeed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frulani shoots for a takedown but McSpeed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McSpeed tries to clinch but Frulani moves out of range. McSpeed looks to score with a jab to the body but Frulani is just out of range. Frulani drives through and clinches with McSpeed against the cage.
Frulani putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McSpeed in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Frulani lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. McSpeed is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Frulani to keep the fight standing. Frulani drops down looking for an ankle pick but McSpeed pulls his leg out and moves away.
Frulani tries for a takedown but McSpeed circles away easily and McSpeed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Frulani won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Frulani prevents McSpeed from moving into mount. Frulani is trying to control McSpeed's posture but McSpeed avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ian McSpeed will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Frulani fails to land the takedown. Frulani misses with a takedown attempt and McSpeed counters with a nice double leg into half guard. McSpeed content to control rather than advance. McSpeed is looking to advance position but Frulani won't allow it. McSpeed content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. McSpeed seems to be looking for submissions.

McSpeed seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. McSpeed's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Frulani works his way to full guard. Good work. McSpeed sitting in guard, not really doing much.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Frulani is defended easily by McSpeed. McSpeed dives in and grabs Frulani's left leg, looking for a takedown. Frulani pushes down on McSpeed's head and hops out. Frulani drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frulani tries for a kimura but McSpeed is defending well. McSpeed is trying to improve his position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frulani tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McSpeed on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The ground and pound from Frulani seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. McSpeed is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at ACADEMIA ESPARTANA ® , so we'll see if he gets out of it. McSpeed is looking to regain half guard here but Frulani keeps moving and retains side control. Frulani wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McSpeed, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frulani tries to score with some ground and pound. McSpeed controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. McSpeed is looking to reverse the position. Frulani wants to control but McSpeed is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frulani working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McSpeed can't do much from the bottom here. McSpeed avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Frulani. McSpeed is trying to control Frulani's posture but Frulani avoids it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ian McSpeed will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
McSpeed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frulani's guard. Frulani trying to keep a closed guard but McSpeed is proving a slippery customer.
McSpeed is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Frulani is trying to control the position but McSpeed postures up. Frulani has his foot on McSpeed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McSpeed works his way back into a safe position though. McSpeed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McSpeed avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McSpeed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Felipe Frulani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McSpeed stuffs the takedown. Frulani misses with a takedown attempt - McSpeed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McSpeed wants it to stay on the feet. Frulani shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Felipe Frulani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frulani takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Frulani wants to control from the top but McSpeed keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Frulani is on top in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frulani accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McSpeed looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Frulani works over McSpeed with some ground and pound from guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Frulani stopping the sweep attempt from McSpeed. Frulani is looking to work some ground and pound but McSpeed has wrist control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ian McSpeed. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McSpeed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
