Fekt comes to the cage accompanied by Ack Sundbyberg. Martin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smells like Teen Spirit . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Martin catches Fekt right on the button with a cross.
Fekt tries to bum rush Martin with a series of wild strikes but Martin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fekt throws a big shot that misses.
Martin is looking to score with low kicks.
Fekt throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Fekt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Martin. Martin obviously looking to wear him down.
Fekt misses with a few strikes there.
Martin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fekt on the side of the head.
Fekt looks to land a right hand but Martin moved out of range.

Martin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Martin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fekt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Martin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fekt momentarily.
Martin lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Martin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fekt.
Fekt moves out of range of the body kick from Martin.

Martin missing with a left hand there. Fekt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Martin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Martin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fekt had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Martin cracks Fekt with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Fekt falls to his knees and Martin doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
