The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Punani thumps Douglas with a low kick.
Douglas cracks Punani with a good jab.
Punani misses with a double jab.
Punani throws a head kick that misses.
Douglas throws a solid leg kick but Punani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Douglas.
A looping hook to the body misses from Douglas. Punani does a little dance to reset his feet.
Punani takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Punani drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Punani, right into the meat.
Douglas lands with an overhand left.
Douglas listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Punani takes a swing at Douglas's ribcage but misses.
Douglas dips to his left and cracks Punani with an uppercut!
Douglas tried to score with a low kick but Punani checks it.
Douglas cracks Punani with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Punani looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Douglas finish him?
Punani is rocked!
It looks like Harry Punani has been cut.
Punani leaves his chin hanging out and Douglas seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Punani crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dustin Douglas!
Post fight, Dustin Douglas stared into the camera and said 'Samba - you have nowhere to run now. I'm next in line, and there's nothing you can do about it. You're a dead man.'.
