Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergei Kravinoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jax Teller!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kravinoff throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Teller lands a leg kick that knocks Kravinoff off balance momentarily.
Kravinoff looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kravinoff feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Teller's calf.
Teller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kravinoff throws a push kick but Teller slaps the foot to one side.
Sergei Kravinoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Teller swings for the body but Kravinoff moves out of range.
Kravinoff cracks Teller with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kravinoff throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kravinoff blocks a jab.
Teller takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Teller throws a hook but Kravinoff blocks it.
Kravinoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kravinoff connects with the punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kravinoff throws a wild body kick that Teller sees coming a mile off.
Kravinoff slips a jab from Teller.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Teller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kravinoff moves away.
Kravinoff defending well as Teller loads up on a big left hand.
Teller blocks a low kick nicely.
Teller pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kravinoff is out of range and Teller settles back down.
We've been hearing reports that Kravinoff has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kravinoff scores with a nice right hand.
Kravinoff feints with a jab and clips Teller right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Teller is sent crashing into the canvas and Kravinoff leaps in for the kill! Teller tries to get to his feet but Kravinoff is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Teller is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergei Kravinoff!
Post fight, Sergei Kravinoff took to the microphone: 'The Hunter has arrived. Next on the list...Kruger.'.
