Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between K.J. Choi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emeka Shakur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). J. Choi and Emeka Shakur. Choi's entrance music is Future ft. Drake Juicy J Meek Mill Rick Ross - Shit (remix). A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Shakur's choice of entrance music: Tatanka - Africa. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as Choi blocks the leg kick.
Choi moves out of range of the body kick. Shakur misses with a combination
and Choi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Choi misses with a head shot. Shakur uses the momentum to regain guard. Choi postures up.
Shakur wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Shakur wants to sweep here but Choi controlling him for the moment. Choi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Shakur utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shakur is pulling down on Choi's head. It's preventing any offense from Choi, at least for the moment.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Emeka Shakur wasn't active enough on the ground. Choi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
K.J. Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shakur takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Choi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Shakur tries to land a leg kick but Choi saw it coming and moves away.
Shakur tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shakur throws an overhand right that lands on Choi's shoulder, as Choi tries to avoid the shot. Choi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Shakur has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shakur lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Choi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shakur. Choi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Shakur misses with a series of wild punches.
Choi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Shakur connects with the punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Choi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Choi scores with the left hand. Shakur knows he should have avoided that one. Choi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A shot to the body from Shakur misses and Choi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shakur is trying to stand up here but Choi is controlling him well. Choi thows a huge punch but Shakur dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shakur wants to get back to full guard. Choi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Shakur avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Choi. Shakur regains full guard. Nicely done. Choi throws a big right hand that misses. Choi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Choi working some strikes from top position. Shakur looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Choi is fighting to break Shakur's control of his arms but Shakur is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Choi throwing strikes but missing. Choi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Choi throwing strikes from guard but Shakur blocks nicely. Shakur is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Choi is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Shakur wants to stand up but Choi is controlling him. Choi preventing the sweep. Choi wants to control from the top but Shakur keeps moving. Shakur trying to keep a closed guard but Choi is proving a slippery customer.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Choi is stalling in the full guard.
We're going to have a standup here because K.J. Choi wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Shakur misses with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shakur throws a leg kick and Choi counters with a single leg into guard. Shakur didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Choi preventing the sweep. Shakur working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Choi. Shakur is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shakur bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Choi's guard. Choi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shakur is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Choi holds on and takes a little breather. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
K.J. Choi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Choi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Emeka Shakur has been cut. Choi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shakur misses with a body kick. Choi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shakur. Shakur misses with a body shot.
Choi moves out of range of the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Shakur. Those never looked like landing. Shakur doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Choi moves out of range as Shakur throws a body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Choi thows a left - swing and a miss! Shakur swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Choi throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shakur. Choi throws a sloppy head kick and Shakur moves out of range easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Choi. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Shakur in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Choi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shakur moves away. Shakur takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Shakur fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Choi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Choi misses with a wild body shot. Shakur misses with a hook. Shakur connects with the punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shakur looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Choi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A jab from Shakur does it's job there. Choi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Shakur lands a lovely overhand right. Shakur thows a left - swing and a miss! Choi sizes up Shakur with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shakur manages to avoid it. Choi digs a good body shot into Shakur's ribs. Choi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shakur circles away quickly and effectively. Choi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shakur on the side of the head. Shakur blocks a head kick by Choi.
Choi looks to throw the jab but Shakur is out of range. Choi swings away with a body shot that misses
and Shakur counters with a good, hard body kick but Choi shrugs it off. Choi misses with a jab to the body
and Shakur counters with a body kick that stops Choi in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shakur throws a leg kick but Choi checks it. Shakur connects with a solid leg kick. Shakur lands an overhand right. Choi lands a nice hook to Shakur's body. Shakur takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Shakur uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Choi.

Shakur throws a half hearted mid kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Choi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Shakur lands a nice looking body shot.

Shakur lands a glancing blow to the side of Choi's head. Shakur moves forwards but Choi connects with a nice, crisp jab. Shakur looks to land a left hand but Choi moved out of range nicely. Choi lands a jab. Shakur throws a head kick but Choi moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shakur throws a front kick aimed at Choi's knee but Choi avoids it well. Shakur ducks under a wild hook from Choi. Choi connects with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Emeka Shakur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Emeka Shakur's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Shakur throws an overhand right that lands on Choi's shoulder, as Choi tries to avoid the shot. Choi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Shakur wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shakur throws a lazy head kick and Choi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shakur won't be happy with that. Shakur is pushing Choi's head away, looking to escape. Choi manages to hold on to the position though. Choi throws an elbow but Shakur slips to the side and avoids it well. Shakur is looking to regain half guard here but Choi keeps moving and retains side control. Shakur is not content to let Choi control the position. K.J. Choi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Choi wants to take a breather but Shakur manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Choi. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Choi throws an elbow that misses. Shakur uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Choi's guard. Nice move by Shakur!
That's one minute gone in the round. Choi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shakur is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Choi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Choi has control of Shakur's left arm, preventing Shakur from doing any damage. Choi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of K.J. Choi. Choi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shakur throws a right hand that Choi ducks under and follows up with a left that Choi also avoids with ease. A head kick misses from Shakur. A punch combination from Choi misses. Shakur tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Choi was well out of range. Poor timing from Shakur. Choi fakes the leg kick and cracks Shakur in the body. Shakur scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Choi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Shakur will feel that in the morning. Shakur takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Choi scores with a nice right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shakur forces Choi back against the cage and clinches. Choi breaks the clinch.
Shakur jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shakur misses with a hook. Choi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Shakur takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shakur uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Choi. Shakur slips a jab from Choi. Choi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Shakur pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Shakur shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Shakur misses with a jab, cross combination.
Choi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shakur checks it well. Shakur goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A good leg kick by Choi. Choi throws out a loose jab but Shakur uses good head movement to avoid it. Shakur ducks under a wild hook from Choi. Choi slips a straight right by Shakur.

and Choi counters with a takedown into side control. Choi in side control, throwing shots but Shakur defends. Shakur takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Shakur wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Choi misses with the ground and pound. Shakur is looking for a sweep. Choi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shakur is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Choi throwing strikes but Shakur manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Shakur remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Choi gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! K.J. Choi showed his dominance in that final round. I think Choi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
