The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughs drives through and clinches with Down against the cage.
Hughs wants to take the fight to the mat but Down manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Down wants to get back to striking at distance but Hughs won't allow it.

Hughs is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Down can't fight it off and eventually Hughs manages to take the fight to the floor. Down looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hughs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Down on the side of the head.
It looks like Taken Yew Down has been cut.
Hughs throws a wild body kick that Down sees coming a mile off.
Down misses with an uppercut.

Hughs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Down's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Down is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Down moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Down pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hughs uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Down has time to react.

That's time! Hughs's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Hughs feints a jab promting Down to slip. Hughs then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Down slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Down enables Hughs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Down manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
