The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ieronymakis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Overeem.
A big right from Overeem misses.

Ieronymakis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Titus Overeem wasn't active enough on the ground.
Overeem takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Ieronymakis throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Overeem checks a leg kick.

Ieronymakis explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Both fighters circling a little - Ieronymakis finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Ieronymakis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Overeem at a distance.
Overeem takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Overeem has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ieronymakis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Overeem tries to score with a low kick but Ieronymakis moves his leg out of the way.
Ieronymakis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ieronymakis throws a leg kick which misses Overeem's front leg but catches the back leg as Overeem tries to avoid it.
Overeem has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ieronymakis.

Overeem tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ieronymakis scores with a shot to the body.
Ieronymakis turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Overeem crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ieronymakis - the referee stops the clock and Overeem gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ieronymakis. Overeem manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Overeem takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A low kick from Overeem is predictable there
and Ieronymakis counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Ieronymakis cracks Overeem with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Overeem tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ieronymakis pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Overeem is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
