The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chulainn closes the distance and clinches up with McSpeed, looking for a takedown. Chulainn pushes McSpeed against the cage but McSpeed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McSpeed tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chulainn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chulainn fails with a takedown attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Chulainn enables McSpeed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chulainn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Chulainn's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
