Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malaipet Sasiprapa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sasiprapa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Malaipet the Diamond. Silva has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Malaipet Sasiprapa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Silva! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sasiprapa gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've been hearing good reports from Sasiprapa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sasiprapa is keeping the position for now. Silva trying to control but Sasiprapa is working from the bottom. Silva is working Sasiprapa over from the guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sasiprapa is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silva keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Silva manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sasiprapa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sasiprapa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Malaipet Sasiprapa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Silva dives in for a single leg takedown but Sasiprapa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Sasiprapa creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silva's defenses. Silva has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sasiprapa after a bit of a struggle. Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sasiprapa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Malaipet Sasiprapa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Silva. Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sasiprapa pinned against the cage. Sasiprapa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Good exchange - Silva coming out on top. Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sasiprapa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by Sasiprapa. Silva gets back to half guard. Sasiprapa is trying to control the action in half guard but Silva is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sasiprapa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Sasiprapa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Silva wants to take the fight to the mat but Sasiprapa manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Silva is looking to take this one to the mat. Sasiprapa lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Silva. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sasiprapa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Silva tries to pull guard but Sasiprapa forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Sasiprapa comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sasiprapa lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Silva. Sasiprapa is defending well against a takedown attempt. Silva is breathing heavily. Sasiprapa lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sasiprapa working Silva over with knees to the body. Sasiprapa landing knees to the body. Silva is rocked! Sasiprapa creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Silva's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Silva drops to his knees and Sasiprapa pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malaipet Sasiprapa! A less than humble Malaipet Sasiprapa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
