Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cooper Abreu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abreu comes to the cage accompanied by Die for Metal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cooper Abreu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Dover!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover tries to clinch there but Abreu circles away.
Abreu throws a leg kick
and Dover counters by clinching up.
Abreu takes an elbow to the temple.
Abreu manages to break the clinch.
Dover looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A big left from Abreu misses.
A swing and a miss from Abreu.
Abreu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dover throws a sloppy head kick and Abreu moves out of range easily.

so Abreu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Abreu is working Dover over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Dover is rocked!
Dover has momentary wrist control but Abreu slips an elbow through the middle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abreu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dover seems to have recovered his senses.
Abreu throws a strike but Dover rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Abreu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dover is aware though and is defending well.
Abreu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dover got a little sloppy there for a moment and Abreu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dover has managed to get both his arms back between Abreu's legs - danger averted.

and Abreu counters with a shoot takedown. Dover fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dover wants to stand but Abreu has his arm trapped.

Dover decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Abreu tries to score with a low kick but Dover moves his leg out of the way.
Cooper Abreu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dover counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Dover.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dover is pressed up against the cage. Abreu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dover down to the mat. Dover avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dover.
Abreu cracks a nice hook into Dover's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cooper Abreu dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Abreu drops Dover with a left and a right! Oh, Dover is hurt - Abreu dives into side control looking to finish!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dover is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Abreu is looking to take a break and control but Dover is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Abreu misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Abreu scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dover to see if he's OK.

Abreu thows a huge punch but Dover dodges it nicely.
Abreu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dover doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Abreu.

Abreu is landing with some decent strikes but Dover is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Abreu sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Dover is looking for a sweep. Abreu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Abreu wants to pass to mount but Dover is defending the position.

Abreu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dover's head.
Abreu is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dover!

Cooper Abreu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
