Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Djoser Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donzel Fortunado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fortunado comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bob Dylan-Knockin' on Heaven's Door kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Djoser Rei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
33 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donzel Fortunado!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rei gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Fortunado scores with a jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fortunado has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rei misses with a body kick.
Decent striking displayed by Rei there.
Fortunado tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fortunado bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fortunado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rei keeps working.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Fortunado stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Fortunado lands a head kick!
It looks like Djoser Rei has been cut.
Fortunado tries to clinch but Rei moves out of range.
Rei throws a sloppy head kick and Fortunado moves out of range easily.
Fortunado shoots for a double leg takedown but Rei sprawls well. He's pushed Fortunado's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rei looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rei drops his hands momentarily and Fortunado takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Rei misses the shot to the body.
Fortunado has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rei.
Rei throws a right hand that Fortunado ducks under and follows up with a left that Fortunado also avoids with ease.
Nice defenses there by Fortunado.
Fortunado keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fortunado uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rei.
Fortunado feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rei looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Donzel Fortunado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rei is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fortunado.
Djoser Rei is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fortunado moves out of range of the body kick.
Fortunado moves into the clinch successfully.
Fortunado pushes Rei back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fortunado lands a knee to the head.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Fortunado.
Fortunado utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Rei is breathing heavily.
Fortunado can't find room to land a body shot as Rei controls the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fortunado lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rei backwards.
Rei takes an elbow to the forehead.
Rei is rocked!
Clinched against the cage, Fortunado lands a big elbow that drops Rei! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Rei is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donzel Fortunado!
