Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rukah Padero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atis Visnevskis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rukah Padero !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Atis Visnevskis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visnevskis misses the shot to the body.
Padero throws a leg kick but Visnevskis moved away.

Padero ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Padero is looking to clinch.
Visnevskis throws out a loose jab but Padero uses good head movement to avoid it.

Visnevskis gets a double leg takedown into Padero 's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Padero is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Padero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Padero throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Visnevskis escapes and throws Padero 's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Visnevskis is working Padero over with some ground and pound from side control.
Padero takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Visnevskis works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Visnevskis lands a few punches from side control.
Padero tries to buck Visnevskis off but Visnevskis is having none of it.
Padero is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Padero wants to control but Visnevskis passes into side.

Padero manages to work his way to half guard, despite Visnevskis's best efforts.

Padero has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Visnevskis is working away from the top position though.
Visnevskis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Padero !

Padero tries to reverse the position but Visnevskis maintains control.
Padero seems to have got his legs back now.
Visnevskis with the ground and pound from mount.
Padero slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Padero tries to roll over but Visnevskis keeps him under control.
Padero is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Visnevskis scores with a couple of nice shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Visnevskis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Visnevskis is thwarting Padero 's attempts to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Visnevskis connects with a nice short shot to Padero 's temple.
Visnevskis trying to control the action but Padero is working from the bottom.
Visnevskis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Visnevskis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Padero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Padero tries to roll over but Visnevskis keeps him under control.
Visnevskis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Padero actively working from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Atis Visnevskis dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Visnevskis batters Padero with a massive right followed by a huge left! Padero is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Visnevskis lands a final crushing right hand to drop Padero to the mat with a gruesome thud! Visnevskis is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Atis Visnevskis!
