Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mateus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter connects with an inside leg kick.

Hunter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.
Gracie connects with a leg kick. Hunter looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hunter has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.
Gracie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hunter throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Hunter's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
