Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harley Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe's entrance music is The Dead Brothers - Old Pine Box. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harley Crowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Henry Ngo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Crowe prevents the takedown attempt.
Crowe scores with a nice hook to the head.
Crowe swings wildly with an uppercut but Ngo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Crowe scores with a shoulder strike.
Ngo has Crowe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crowe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Crowe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ngo backwards.

Ngo drags the fight down to the ground.
Crowe wants to pass the guard but Ngo is keeping the position.
Ngo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ngo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Crowe working some strikes from top position.

Ngo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Crowe stays in close to Ngo's body and controls the position.
Ngo is controlling Crowe's posture.
We've been hearing that Crowe has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Harley Crowe has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Crowe swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Ngo shoots in looking for a takedown. Crowe tries to sprawl out of it but Ngo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crowe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harley Crowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Ngo.
Ngo looks to land a body kick but Crowe moved away.

Crowe misses with a body kick.
Crowe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ngo moves in looking to clinch but Crowe pushes him off.
Ngo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crowe as he avoids it easily.
Ngo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ngo goes for a double leg but Crowe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crowe continues to drive forward.
Crowe scores with a shot to the side of Ngo's head.

Ngo pulls guard effortlessly.

Ngo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crowe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Crowe advances position into side control!

Crowe cracks Ngo with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Crowe lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Crowe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ngo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ngo dodges the ground and pound from Crowe.

Crowe tries for a kimura but Ngo is defending well.
Crowe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ngo down.
Ngo wants to control but Crowe postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ngo is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crowe trying to control the action but Ngo is working from the bottom.
Ngo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Crowe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ngo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Ngo sneaks back into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crowe is working for a submission of some sort.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ngo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crowe defends well and Ngo ends up having to push Crowe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Crowe pushes Ngo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ngo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crowe has him pressed against the cage.
Crowe swings wildly with an uppercut but Ngo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ngo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Crowe to keep the fight standing.

Ngo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Crowe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ngo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Crowe can't keep his opponent in guard - Ngo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ngo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ngo working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Ngo is trying to control. Crowe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ngo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ngo is working for a submission of some sort.

Ngo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Crowe sees it coming and defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crowe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ngo postures up in Crowe's guard and throws a big left but Crowe blocks it.
Ngo wants to control from the top but Crowe keeps moving.
Crowe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ngo throws a strike but Crowe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ngo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crowe controls the pace.

Ngo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ngo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Henry Ngo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Crowe scores with a jab. Ngo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Henry Ngo has been cut.
Ngo wants to clinch.
Ngo shoots for a double leg takedown but Crowe sprawls well. He's pushed Ngo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Crowe just misses with a punch to the body.
Ngo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crowe sprawls well. Crowe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ngo gets slowly back to his feet.

Ngo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crowe's guard.
Crowe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ngo stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Crowe has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Ngo manages to get his head free but now Crowe has transitioned to an armbar! Ngo grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Crowe! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Harley Crowe!
Harley Crowe bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
