Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Durran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Carney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durran comes to the cage accompanied by Do or die. Carney has chosen T.I. - Every Chance I get as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Durran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodney Carney! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carney stuffs the takedown attempt from Durran. Durran gets slowly back to his feet. We've been told by Durran's head coaches at Personal Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Durran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Durran is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carney shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Durran's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Carney engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Durran looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Carney pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Durran is keeping the position for now. Carney makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carney throws a big elbow that misses. Carney has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carney distracts Durran with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Carney not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Carney gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Durran tries to close the distance and clinch but Carney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Durran tries to move into range but Carney moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Durran looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carney is fending him off so far but Durran persists. Nope, Carney circles away and we're back to standing. Carney drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carney working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carney lands an elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carney working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Durran is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durran being controlled for a moment. Carney is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Durran has escaped the position, nice work there. Carney scoring with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carney scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Durran to see if he's OK. Carney is looking to take a break and control but Durran is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carney tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Carney wants to control but Durran is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carney working the head with strikes. Carney working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Carney is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Durran will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durran wants to control but Carney postures up. Carney is putting a hurting on Durran here, landing some big shots from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodney Carney dominated that round. That's time! Durran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Carney shoots in and gets a takedown into Durran's guard. Durran looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Carney looking to sit in guard and control but Durran gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carney is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durran defends well. Durran trying to control the position from guard on top but Carney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carney is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Durran is aware though and is defending well.

Durran wants to control from the top but Carney keeps moving. Carney has an active guard here but Durran has managed to pass into half guard.
Carney is looking to control Durran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carney avoid being mounted? Carney felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Carney moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Carney looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Durran would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carney has an active guard here but Durran has managed to pass into half guard.
Carney moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carney is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Durran defends well. Durran wants to control from the top but Carney keeps moving. Carney has a closed guard, preventing Durran from standing up. Carney is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Carney has a closed guard, preventing Durran from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carney swivels though and keeps the full guard. Durran trying to control but Carney is working from the bottom. Durran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carney on the ground. Durran is looking to work some ground and pound but Carney has wrist control. Carney looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Durran thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carney's head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Durran seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carney does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Carney works his way to full guard. Good work. Durran lands a couple of elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carney looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Carney throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Durran trying to control but Carney is working from the bottom. Durran trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carney's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carney lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Durran! Durran flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Durran takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodney Carney showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Durran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Carney shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Durran manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Durran is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Durran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carney sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Durran's guard. Carney working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Carney is working for a kimura but Durran is defending it quite comfortably.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carney throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Carney stalling. Carney has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Carney blocks the strikes from Durran.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carney is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Durran keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Carney not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carney is pressing down on Durran's thigh, looking to free his foot. Durran is holding on for now. Carney is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Durran is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carney lands a big shot there that rocks Durran but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Carney controlling the position easily from mount. Carney working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Durran turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Carney off and cradles Durran's limp body as Carney celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rodney Carney! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Rodney Carney made sure he mentioned KAISER, along with how happy he was to win his fight. In defeat, Billy Durran stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm sorry that I let all of you down. I gave it 100 percent and I promise that I will come back stronger next time'.
