Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boris Gregorovitsj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rufus Speed! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gregorovitsj moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gregorovitsj moves into range and clinches up with Speed. Speed pressing his opponent against the cage. Gregorovitsj has Speed pressed against the cage.
Speed throws a punch but it's blocked by Gregorovitsj. Speed dodges an elbow strike from Gregorovitsj.
Speed doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Speed lands a body shot. A quick uppercut on the inside from Gregorovitsj. Gregorovitsj avoiding damage.
Speed working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gregorovitsj misses with some punches.
Gregorovitsj can't find room to land a body shot as Speed controls the action.
Gregorovitsj swings wildly with an uppercut but Speed uses good head movement to avoid it. Speed tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gregorovitsj's elbow. Gregorovitsj prevents Speed from breaking the clinch. Speed lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gregorovitsj backwards. A nice left hand lands by Gregorovitsj.
Speed has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Gregorovitsj seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Speed can turn it around. Gregorovitsj misses with a hook to the ribs.

Gregorovitsj lands a nice looking kick to the body. Speed takes a step back to recover. Boris Gregorovitsj is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gregorovitsj moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gregorovitsj lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Speed has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Speed and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Gregorovitsj loads up on a big right hand but Speed slips the punch. Speed avoids the body shot from Gregorovitsj.

Gregorovitsj is looking to chop away at Speed's legs. A punch lands to the side of Speed 's head but he takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Some bone on bone action there as Speed checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Gregorovitsj throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Speed takes one to the side of the head.
Speed looks to score with a jab to the body but Gregorovitsj is just out of range. Speed takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gregorovitsj takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gregorovitsj lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Gregorovitsj has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Speed finds it's way round the side to connect with Gregorovitsj's head. Speed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A jab from Gregorovitsj misses. Gregorovitsj throws an off balance right hand
and Speed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Speed. This has been an exciting period of action! Gregorovitsj keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully. Gregorovitsj is adopting a defensive guard. Speed controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Rufus Speed has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gregorovitsj connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Gregorovitsj throws a series of punches but Speed avoids them all with ease. Gregorovitsj lands a slapping body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Speed checks the leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Gregorovitsj. Speed does a little dance to reset his feet. Gregorovitsj fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Boris Gregorovitsj will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Speed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Speed thows a left - swing and a miss! Speed lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gregorovitsj takes a step back to recover. Speed takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Speed lands with a shot to the body. Gregorovitsj misses with the body kick and Speed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Speed. Gregorovitsj looking to hit a scissor sweep but Speed is one step ahead there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Speed pushes down on Gregorovitsj's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed slips a nice elbow through Gregorovitsj's hands, connecting with Gregorovitsj's forehead. Speed is trying to work for a kimura but Gregorovitsj is defending well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Speed wants to take a breather but Gregorovitsj is having none of it. Speed might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gregorovitsj haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gregorovitsj blocking the ground and pound attempt from Speed. Gregorovitsj trying to hold on to Speed's head to control him but Speed postures up.
Speed seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Speed is just content to waste time from the top position. Gregorovitsj takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Speed trying to control the position from guard on top but Gregorovitsj is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Speed works over Gregorovitsj with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Speed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Speed tries to free his leg and advance position but Gregorovitsj is retaining full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gregorovitsj trying to keep a closed guard but Speed is proving a slippery customer.
Speed wants to control from the top but Gregorovitsj keeps moving. Gregorovitsj preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gregorovitsj controls Speed momentarily but Speed frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Gregorovitsj. Gregorovitsj misses the jab. Gregorovitsj throws a leg kick that is checked and Speed counters with a single leg into guard. Gregorovitsj didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Speed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Speed is stalling in the full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Speed throwing strikes but missing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gregorovitsj preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rufus Speed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Gregorovitsj's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gregorovitsj keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully. Rufus Speed has got the better of the ground game so far. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Speed tries to free his leg and advance position but Gregorovitsj is retaining full guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rufus Speed wasn't active enough on the ground. Speed swats away the attempt to clinch by Gregorovitsj. Gregorovitsj pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gregorovitsj defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Speed. Gregorovitsj gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gregorovitsj's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gregorovitsj throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Speed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Speed wants to control from the top but Gregorovitsj keeps moving. Gregorovitsj is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Speed looking to sit in guard and control but Gregorovitsj gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Speed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Boris Gregorovitsj just wasn't active enough. Gregorovitsj fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Speed is out of range. Speed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! Rufus Speed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Speed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
