Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Carney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Love (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carney might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to T.I. - Every Chance I get. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ari Love! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carney fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Love to the ground. Carney is now in Love's guard. Love has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Carney is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Carney tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Carney's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Love looks to land a combination. Carney sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Carney closes the distance and clinches up with Love, looking for a takedown. Carney pushes Love against the cage but Love circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Carney has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Love misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Good standup being displayed there by Love as he connects with a hook. Love scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Carney on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Carney shoots in looking for a takedown but Love manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carney's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Love throws a lazy right hand but Carney sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Carney looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carney is keen to just control but Love is a slippery customer. Carney thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Love looks like he's trying to stand up.
Love kicks Carney off and gets back to his feet. Love uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carney. Carney goes for a double leg but Love avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Love continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodney Carney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carney just leaning against Love, taking a breather. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Love clobbers Carney with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Carney has closed the distance and engaged Love in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Love misses with an uppercut. Carney bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Carney throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Love works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Love is not content to let Carney control the position. Carney missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Love avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carney. Carney is trying to control. Love wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Love tries to kick Carney off but Carney keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carney missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Carney thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Love's head. Love blocking the ground and pound attempt from Carney. Carney is trying to control. Love wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Carney is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Love lands with a hook. Carney tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Love throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carney sees it coming and avoids it easily. Carney misses the shot to the body. Love misses with the combination.

Ari Love dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ari Love seems to be getting the better of the standup. Love misses with an uppercut. Love might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Love takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Carney takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Love looks to land a combination but Carney avoids it well. Love misses with a few strikes there.
Love has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Love avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Carney throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Love on the side of the head. Carney takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Love misses with a body shot.

Love pushes down on Carney's head and hops out. Love moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Carney lands a nice shot to the body.

Ari Love showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Love lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Love manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Carney misses the shot to the body. Carney throws a big shot that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Ari Love comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Love winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
