Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mia bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nova is looking for a sweep.
Nova manages to get back to half guard.
Nova is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Mia pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mia is looking for a kimura but Nova is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mia to get the leverage.
Mia is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Nova has managed to free his arm - good work.
Nova gets back to full guard.

Mia is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nova gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Neo Nova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gavin Mia.

Nova connects with a nasty looking knee right to Mia's face.

and Nova counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mia clinches but Nova breaks the clinch
and Nova counters by moving into the clinch.

Nova lands an elbow that stopped Mia in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Gavin Mia has been cut.
Nova tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nova throws an elbow but misses.

Mia drops his hands momentarily and Nova takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Mia shoots for a double leg takedown but Nova sprawls well. He's pushed Mia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Neo Nova is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mia rushes Nova and presses him up against the cage.
Nova lands an elbow inside that Mia shrugs off.
Mia avoids the elbow strike from Nova, against the cage.

Nova keeps control of Mia as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mia blocks an elbow strike from Nova.

Nova throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mia blocks it with crossed arms.
Nova lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Nova lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Mia jumps guard but Nova stands there with Mia around his waist. Mia gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nova lands an elbow just above Mia 's eye.

Nova pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mia tries to clinch
and Nova counters with a three punch combo that has Mia backing up. Mia nods at Nova to acknowledge the strikes.
Mia is still on wobbly legs! Can Nova finish him?
Mia misses with a wild body shot.
Mia seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Nova shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mia is backing up but Nova catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mia covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Nova Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neo Nova!
