Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kfier Asher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Warning by The Notrious BIG. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kfier Asher!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan Escobar!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar shoots in looking for a takedown. Asher tries to sprawl out of it but Escobar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Asher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Asher throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Escobar throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Asher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Escobar uses his free foot to push down on Asher's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Asher.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kfier Asher will probably get the nod.

Asher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Escobar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
