Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zen Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Jose De Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Sucre has chosen Iced Earth - Plagues of Babylon as his entrance music. Zen Yi had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Zen Yi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antonio Jose De Sucre!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Yi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nice uppercut there from De Sucre.
De Sucre misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been hearing reports that Yi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Yi tries to bum rush De Sucre with a series of wild strikes but De Sucre uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big right from De Sucre misses.
De Sucre slips a straight right by Yi.
De Sucre tries to land a front kick but Yi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
De Sucre lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Yi misses the jab.
De Sucre feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yi's calf.
Yi thuds his shin into the meat of De Sucre's side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Sucre throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Yi's head.
Yi misses with a looping left.
De Sucre throws a leg kick but Yi checks it.
Yi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and De Sucre has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Yi.

De Sucre regains half guard.
De Sucre is looking for a sweep. Yi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Yi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De Sucre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
De Sucre is looking to improve his position.
Yi controlling the action here.
Yi lands strikes from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Sucre wants to get back to full guard.
De Sucre wants to control but Yi is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
De Sucre desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Yi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
De Sucre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Yi thows a huge punch but De Sucre dodges it nicely.
Yi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yi is nestled in close to De Sucre, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Yi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Yi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
De Sucre regains half guard.

De Sucre is refusing to be controlled, as Yi sits in half guard.

De Sucre wants to improve his position but Yi is controlling well.
Yi drops an elbow to the side of De Sucre's head.

De Sucre actively working from the bottom here.
Yi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Yi dominating with strikes here.
Yi lands with some vicious ground and pound - can De Sucre hang on?
Yi controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zen Yi dominated that round.

De Sucre works the jab nicely.
A cross from Yi lands.
Yi checks a low kick from De Sucre.
Yi drops down looking for a counter takedown but De Sucre sprawls and moves away.
De Sucre moves out of range of the body kick from Yi.
Yi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Antonio Jose De Sucre seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Yi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Yi blocks a leg kick.
Yi drops down looking for a counter takedown but De Sucre sprawls and moves away.
De Sucre misses with a straight right.
Yi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as De Sucre throws out the jab.
De Sucre throws the kick towards the body but Yi avoids it.
Yi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that De Sucre can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. De Sucre is trying to defend but Yi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Yi is trying to control. De Sucre wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Yi tries to pass to full mount but De Sucre defends it.
De Sucre wants to control but Yi passes into side.

Yi scores with a couple of short elbows.
Zen Yi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Yi wants to control but De Sucre is keeping him busy.
Yi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at De Sucre to see if he's OK.
Yi lands a few punches from side control.

De Sucre is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Yi in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Yi is looking to take a break and control but De Sucre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yi landing strikes.
Yi grinds an elbow into De Sucre's temple.
Yi lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.


De Sucre is rocked!
Yi cracks De Sucre with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Yi immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! De Sucre is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Yi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zen Yi!
Zen Yi really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that GREEN!160 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
