Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanton Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Gleiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Crowe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Builders & The Butchers - Bringing Home The Rain. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanton Crowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 21 - 1, fighting out of London, Michael Gleiser!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gleiser takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
No luck for Gleiser with that takedown attempt.
Crowe throws a push kick but Gleiser slaps the foot to one side.
Gleiser tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gleiser throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gleiser has closed the distance and engaged Crowe in a clinch.
Gleiser throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
We've been informed that Gleiser has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Gleiser creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Crowe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Gleiser backwards.
Gleiser has Crowe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crowe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gleiser.
Crowe works on Gleiser's body with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gleiser throws an elbow but misses.
Crowe avoids a wild elbow strike from Gleiser.
Gleiser working aggressively here.
Gleiser tries to work over Crowe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gleiser tries to stall but Crowe uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Crowe has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Gleiser is working for takedown but Crowe is calmly controlling the position for now.
Stanton Crowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Gleiser.
Crowe works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Gleiser lands a damaging elbow.

Crowe wants the takedown. Gleiser is fighting it off but Crowe persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gleiser's guard against the cage.

Gleiser is looking for a triangle but Crowe pushes his legs off easily.
Gleiser has momentary wrist control but Crowe slips an elbow through the middle.

Gleiser looking for a guillotine here but Crowe defends easily.
Crowe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Crowe trying to control but Gleiser is working from the bottom.

Gleiser is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Crowe stands up over Gleiser, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crowe advances to half guard.

It looks like Michael Gleiser has been cut.
Crowe tries to pass to full mount but Gleiser defends it.
Crowe controlling the action here.
Crowe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Crowe works his way into full mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gleiser is in a horrible position here. Crowe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Gleiser sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Gleiser manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Crowe works over Gleiser with some ground and pound from guard.


The cut above Michael Gleiser's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Crowe stands and throws Gleiser's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gleiser is not in a great position here, taking some shots.


Michael Gleiser's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Michael Gleiser's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Stanton Crowe!
A less than humble Stanton Crowe misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
